Believe it or not, time is fast approaching for another Jacobs Family Reunion!!!!

The planning committee has met and we have finalized all plans for our grand occasion.

We are excited about all the family members from various states who say they will be attending the reunion this year.

FRIDAY NIGHT – August 19, 2005

Friday night is still designated for our fish fry, and registration.  Our reunion festivities come only once every two years; we are asking as many who can and will to take this one extra day off from work to attend the fish fry.  Please come prepared for a lot of fun and games.

We promise to have plenty of fish this time. Tininey has chosen our activity to be FEAR FACTORY for Friday night.  She will have real life challenges for both young and old alike.   The registration packet will contain an itinerary of the weekend’s events.

SATURDAY – AUGUST 20, 2005

Saturday has been set aside for all our games, activities, and Saturday night dinner/talent show.  The selections for the basketball and volleyball teams are currently under way. If you want to be a part of these events, please contact Rose Hadnot (Tininey) at 936-632-9615.

Please come early for the Saturday night dinner to register for the prize drawings. Word has it that Madea (Diary of a Mad Black Woman) might make a special appearance.  We will have six prizes – each to be given away between acts.

SUNDAY – AUGUST 21, 2005

As always, Sunday has been set aside for Sunday morning worship and dinner on the ground. Sunday’s menu is sounding very good.  The Texas Sisters have agreed to prepare dinner once again.  Menu Reminder: Adams- Chicken and Greens; Henderson’s- Brisket and String Beans and Smiths- Links and Corn.

Each adult (18 or older) is asked to pay a fee of $30.00 to cover the expense of the recreational center, the civic center, all foods and any other miscellaneous expenses.

Children are not included in this fee request. PLEASE- We are asking everybody to PRE

Register; this is the only way will we know the number of rooms to reserve, the amount of food to prepare and the number of registration packets to prepare.  

For all family members who did not receive this letter, for whatever reason, please refer them to the Jacobs Family Web page at http://jacobsfamily1.tripod.com where they can retrieve a copy of this letter and registration form.
